Trees absorb Carbon Dioxide from the atmosphere for their growth, converting it into sugars and release oxygen into the atmosphere. Forests contribute in a very significant way to biodiversity and habitat variety, critical and necessary for a healthy environment.
A forest is a natural system that can suply different needs like products and services. The working of this Forest system is influenced by the natural environment: Climate, topography, soil, etc. and also by human activity.
Sustainable Forestry concerns the overall administrative, ecological, economic, legal and social aspects as well as sientific and technical aspects, such as silviculture, protection and forest regulation.
